Detroit wins the lottery. NJ is 2nd. Top prospect is a LW, and Detroit has a dozen LW, but could use a center prospect and a puck moving defenseman.

Hard to tell if he's got the consistency, but this year he's playing like he's Mark Stone, at center. Given the way that cap increases seem to go more to the top UFAs than to the rank and file players, yeah, I think he's getting 10M from some team. Whether or not they're happy with that in two or three years, I have no idea.

No doubt there's some dumb f@ck GM's in the NHL but I really can't imagine there's any dumb enough to give JGP a $10M aav... Lol

I think he'll get around $4.5-5.25 for 6 years from someone, whether that'll be good, bad or fair only time will tell.

Numbers are way off across the board. More for Mantha and fabri, less for jgp, Hall will sign with a contender, Bowey prob isn’t resigned, and rookies make $925000 as far as I know

Yeah. I agree. And I don't think it stops the Wings from making any of the above moves. Add in a 5th for Hall's rights, to whoever has them. Can be the pick they got for Glendening.

What I have doubts about is whether NJ takes the rest of the trade, to move up one spot, but they do have some pretty good young centers, and Lafreniere is supposed to be decent. I guess it depends what they expect out of Subban next year, and how much confidence they have in their remaining centers. A big year from Michael McLeod could make Zacha expendable.

Yeah I don't see that actually happening. If he gets 10, Hall is worth 15 at that point, and that's not realistic either.

The question is whether teams weight long term performance over the current year. Those two are currently one point apart for the lead among pending UFAs. Hall gets four times as many of his points on the power play. Pageau plays 16% tougher zone starts. If Pageau's worth 6M, Hall is worth 5.
