Description

Just trying to get a feel for this. Nylander would bolster wing/center depth for the Rangers. Buchnevich to replace Willy, DeAngelo for a RHD on an RFA contract that might not cost too much to lock up and Georgie as a backup/tandem/future starter (read stopgap). I'm not too familiar with Toronto's goalie prospects.

With Kravtsov and kakko on the right side, this could be a situation where you don't really need Nylander. And you could run with an excellent RHD corps for a couple years

I think if he's still willing to play center, the Rangers should definitely go after Willy. We still need another top-six center (I'm not sold on Chytil as a long-term 2C yet).

So many Leaf fans will disagree with me, but the Leafs love that deal. IMO it's an overpay by the Rangers. Take Buchnevich out of the trade, IMO it still favours the Leafs.

I think Willy will be good at centre, especially if he can have a summer working on face-offs and working on centre responsibilities.

As weird as it sounds, I was legitimately just thinking about before I even logged on. I've seen variations of this trade, but I'm hesitant to trade Buch. The other 2 make sense, but I just figured Leafs fans would figure they'd be getting shafted
