Why do so many Leaf fans want the team to tank? They are going to make the playoffs. Just be patient, they are better than Montreal, Buffalo and Florida, may be better than Tampa and TO has a better record than all of those teams since Keefe has been behind the bench.

not to mention 1, with all these trades the leafs will have 4 players on retained salary, the max is 3. and 2, you cannot retain anymore salary on Barrie since his contract is already 50% retained

you wouldnt need to retain on barrie anyways becasue of the way the cap works at the trade deadline so you are back to 3 and no retained on barrie.

No need to even get into that, because its just silly to even consider this at this time. TO just finished off a tough western road swing where they went 3-1 and if they manage to eliminate the small stretched of terrible defensive play, (those are becoming fewer and more far between) it stands to reason the team is going to climb up the standings. The real big need they have is a backup to get some points. If they had someone half as good as Andersen backing him up, TO would probably be closer to Boston than Buffalo right now. With that being said, I am glad things went the way they did. It got Babs out the door and that is the best thing that could have happened for this squad.

ARZ would rather have Muzzin than Barrie, they already are lacking in the DFD category (OEL Goli are certainly not DFD's, and Chychrun isn't the best defensively... and Hjalmarsson's hurt...)
