Tough to see the Coyotes taking on even more dead money for a guy who "knows how to win" but doesn't really help you do that. Not sure if Ho-Sang is enough to sweeten the deal, I think alienating him has really depleted his trade value. The yotes have been known to take on money but they're actually competitive now so it would likely be for a much higher price if possible.

I’d add in a first and third if they don’t accept and I’d retain half of his Salary

I think you think Ladd and Hickey are players teams would trade for as the main pieces in a trade.

Want the easy answers? If you want to get rid of Ladd, trade him with a 1st round pick and a prospect to another team for a cheaper 2-3M, not great but not bad player with like 2 years term. That way Isles get cap space and a player who could actually make the team better now. The other team replaces that decent player with a Ladd who is a player no one really wants, at the cost of nice juicy 1st round pick and a prospect.

If you want to trade Hickey you have two options, eat 50% of his salary and slap a draft pick like a 4th rounder in exchange for slightly better pick like a 3rd OR trade him straight up another player with similar cap and term who is also not playing good with their team and hope both players rejuvenate their careers in their new teams.

Those are the most realistic options (In trade) for both guys.

Ok thanks for the idea
