Galchenyuk doesn't have a lot of value after moving between 3 teams is 3/4 years and not putting it together - DeSmith is 28 and your lowest valued goalie - Bjorkqvist is a 2nd rounder, but he's already 22 and not looking great - and a late-ish 2nd

Actually Bjorkqvist was looking good before he got hurt - in his 1st pro season. DeSmith was one of the best back-ups in NHL last year, we are just so deep in every position tho.
I still think Chucky has some value, he is still only 25 but i get what ur saying

3 teamers r very hard, I usually just stay away from them (even though I just posted one)

Trochek isn’t going anywhere, but maybe u change him to Gusev, which in that case I don’t think it would need much editing

Is Trocheck broken? He is basically a 15g 50pt guy now.

Not including the NJ-Fla portion, just the Pens... Galchenyuk, Bjorkqvist, DeSmith, 2nd for Trocheck, Montembeault
I don't think that is all that off, especially since Trocheck seems to be sliding. Do him a solid sending him to his hometown team.

maybe something like this with whatever retention may be necessary

FLA gets: Hall, Zacha, Domingue, Simon

    PIT gets: Trocheck, Woods, Montembeault

NJD gets: Murray, Tippett, Bjorkqvist, 2nd (FLA), 4th (FLA)

When doing 3-way trades, a good way to see whether the value the teams are giving up is fair when compared to what other teams are giving/getting.

    NJ loses:
    - Hall
    - Zacha

    And what they get:
    - Two pending UFAs with relatively low value (Galchenyuk, Pysyk)
    - Two decent prospects (Tippett, Björkqvist)
    - 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks.

Overall, I think NJ is a winner in that comparison...

    FLA gets
    - Hall
    - Zacha
    - DeSmith

    And they lose
    - Trocheck
    - Tippett
    - Pysyk
    - Montembeault
    - 1st
    - 3rd

I think they lose way too much. Trocheck's alone worth more than Zacha and DeSmith...the amount that they have to pay for Hall is just way out of proportion.

    And PIT gets
    - Trocheck
    - Montembeault

    In exchange to
    - Galchenyuk
    - Björkqvist
    - DeSmith
    - 2nd round pick.

PIT is a clear winner here. As mentioned before, Trocheck's value is pretty high, he plays in high level with a good contract. Chucky's been pretty bad. DeSmith carries small trade value due to already being waived once, and Björkqvist and 2nd are pretty much equal. FLA should maybe consider moving Trocheck for futures if they were out of playoff picture, but that's not the case...

Overall, NJ gets good value, Pens fleeces FLA and FLA gets f*cked with a rusty crowbar.

Thanks Bud, I like doing them bc they are a challenge - I usually have to start over bc i have like 8 players /prospects/ picks on each list, trying to make even, LOL.

Thanks and I think that was how I was looking at his value rite now too??? Kinda like how Schultz value is sliding too but both had same injuries at same time??

So if I get this right, Florida gives up a 1st & a 3rd and two players for NOTHING. The Penguins acquire Hall and partial payment is Florida’s picks and prospect Tippett, so the Penguins can then move Hall & Zacha to Florida to get Trocheck & Montembeault?

Here is a thought. How about the Panthers and Devils trade among themselves? Tell the Penguins to go home. Somewhere in the world Jim Rutherford is crying.

    Somewhere in the world
