It’s exactly why you laughed off my ideas of trying to trade Mittelstadt for Tarasenko - cause you have a huge homer bias and think your players are better than they are. The reason Buffalo is bad isn’t that all their players are secretly great. Reinhart is a good player, but this mentality is insane.



Do you think Ristolainen is anywhere in the same realm as Hall as a player? He isn’t even in the same realm as Larsson, who isn’t in the same realm as Hall. You’re trading a net negative player somehow costing over 5 mil for a top 5 winger. Now, even with that, Hall won’t sign in Buffalo now, so they don’t make sense as a trade partner.

Reino is easily our best rw. He had 67 points last year and keeps getting better every year. Absolutely no reason to trade him for any dman when we have a surplus.

1) ‘your best’ means nothing. Your best RW could be whoever Ottawa’s best RW is. He’s worth what he’s worth, independent of his role at your team.

That doesn’t make any sense. There are like 100+ better players in the league, of course he isn’t - you just want something better in return. But that’s very much different.

He is certainly not untouchable, but there is no reason for us to trade him, unless it is an elite 2C or RW, which is better than Reinhart, for example Patrick Kane. Obviously, we don’t need defenders anymore, so this trade is simply meaningless for us.
