if the Rangers want Ehlers

Description
THere's been no indication this is legit, I just saw a couple Rangers threads trading for Ehlers. He's arguably been our best forward and is signed long term to a really good contract. There's no way the Jets move him unless the return is something stupid. Obviously the Rangers aren't going to be giving this up, just what I think it would take for NYR to acquire him .

I don't think this makes WPG better now, Chytil is good but doesn't fill the hole immediately. But Tony really helps out the blueline and Hajek will be a solid dman in 2-3 years. If I'm chevy I'd consider this deal, like i said in trade description. I could be over caluing Chytil, if it looks lopsided for NYR, just tack on a 2nd or 3rd.

Would love some feedback, maybe we could have a nice discussion about what could be fair instead of just sh*tting on each other.

quite honestly I think the only player thats going to change out of the top 6 in the next 3-5 years is Wheeler. The rest is going to be the same. Cant see the Jets trading Ehlers with how good he has been doing and his contract.

I know this was just fun to think about. I saw some other posts on it and decided I'd look at it from a Jets standpoint. I doubt Wheeler ever gets traded, he'll ride out bis contract and retire in WPG.

I wouldn't trade Ehlers for that, Deangelo is good but the Jets have a lot of smallish dmen already and more on the way, Hajek doesn't move the needle much and the Jets have plenty of D prospects, Chytil is alright but that return isn't worth trading your top goal scorer and best forward for.

What would you say is a more fair return for ehlers? This was the type of conversation I was looking to have. I thought maybe I was over-valuing chytil.

Trouba for Ehlers? More like Trouba+++ for Ehlers, we don't want that overpaid and overrated guy back unless we're over compensated to take him.. Lol

Not that it'd ever happen but seriously I wouldn't take him back for Pionk straight up, NY would have to add.

I agree on not trading pionk for trouba 1 for 1 lol. It's crazy that he got 7x8 after one solid year....

We've had this discussion before but he's just way too valuable to trade imo, that Buchnevich/Deangelo trade that was proposed on here before had more appeal then this.

How did Trouba get 50 points??! He was TERRIBLE on the powerplay?!!. Lol

Really the Rangers should of held him over a bit to take less if he wanted to play there so bad.

Soon enough, if the Rangers keep trading for Jets players, the Rangers will become the New York Jets, per se

As long as he sticks to scoring and not fighting Getzlaf he will be fine. On a serious note, I love Ehlers and would love even more to see him and Timo on a line together again, they had great chemistry.

That’s a joke lol. That’s not even close. Deangelo is already 24. Try adding Buch and Howden and then it’s fair.
