No way on Simmonds, dude is spent. As for the other three, it all depends on what they cost. And with Palmieri, how much cap could the Devils eat back, because he's got another year and we have extensions to think of first. But frankly, I don't think we need any of them right now. We just need Barby back quick, and Sammy and Vladdy back on time.

Simmonds fits the Blues mold the best. Anyone who is willing to play a little dirty is best.

Toffoli is totally a blues player, hard to play against and can score, perfect for playoffs

Agreed on the second part. I think Kreider fits even better but Sinmonds is overlooked a lot

Simmonds is up there. I do think being back with Berube can reignite him since Simmonds is a Berube type player

I have some reservations about Toffoli, but I think he could have a mini resurgence

I think Toffoli could be great because he’s good (despite remarkable bad luck last season) and is by far the cheapest of them. I do think they should be in on scoring forwards, they don’t necessarily need one but scoring relief would be nice and this is an “all-in” season so any chance to improve the team should be taken. No interest in Simmonds though, he’s basically a 5 million dollar Barbashev.

I chose Simmonds because he'll be cheap, not only that but he had some of his best years under Berube so I thought he could be a good option. If for no other reason because he could kind of fill that Maroon type role of not only a net front presence, but also as a protector

Hoffman, Kreider, Toffoli.

I wouldn't want Hoffman. He's got a great shot, but not really sure he fits the Blues mold. Kreider is still my top option.

I understand what you mean. My only counter argument would be goal scoring fits any team's M.O. Our team is so predicated on playing our style of 200 foot hockey, I get what you are saying. It really is incredible that we keep winning with plug-n-play AHLers.

It is amazing. We've gotten some great goaltending which always helps.

He could be. But I also think he could play a valuable role. He's an ideal Blue in terms of skillset

I'm with Chopper here. Simmonds 5 years ago was a perfect Blue. Now, he'd be yet one more slower guy. Come playoff time though, he could be valuable when the ice gets clogged.
