Both FLA and TB laughs... Moving potential assets to scrubs aren't exactly the way to do things.

FLA could use some help on the back end and from what I gather Borgstrom is sliding down their prospect lists and Buffalo retains to get a better piece. TB is going to have to pay Joseph at the end of the season and he has not produced anything of yet and Sheary gives them someone who knows what it takes to win a cup and is someone who they could sign at the end of season for cheap. Tampa is win now and if they keep holding onto these younger guys the GM and Coach will be out.

Borgström has the potential to be their 2C in future. Scandella is going to be a 3rd pair D there. There's nothing to do for FLA but lose here.

Joseph has still potential to improve. Also TB shouldn't add any more small players, they already have a surplus of those.

Scandella and Sheary are rentals. Come trade deadline if a team feels they need to add they may have to give up potential in the process. Borgstrom is not going to be playing center in their top six in the next three years at least with the guys in front of him that are not that much older then him. And with Joseph you are missing the point that they have to pay Cirelli, Cernak and Sergachev with roughly 8 million dollars plus the other 7 RFA's this summer. Plus 6 million increase in Vasey's contract.

Joseph will cost TB $1M at the most. They should have no problem re-signing him. My guess is that they'll involve him in another trade near the deadline to strengthen their team further. They can certainly get a better player than Sheary in exchange to him and some picks.

Also you could get Scandella or any D of his level for 4th round pick or something close to that. No point to move former first round pick with potential.
