Young NHL player who has shown glimpses of being a 2nd line winger and a 2nd is pretty good value for a rental. As the Blues are concerned they wont do a 1st (or at least it's likely) they wont since need to build up some defensive prospects

How is the logic flawed? Kreider is a second line forward who can play 1st line wing if necessary. He's an upgrade over Sanford which is why the deal does make sense for the Blues. Plus the Rangers get younger in the process. I also said Sanford has shown glimpses of it but isn't there yet.
