I don't think Chicago would do this. Remember that the Hawks have struggled this year and that 1st rounder is most likely a high one. DeBrincat is having a little bit of a down year from last year but is still a very good player, and Kreider is a rental. Strome is having a great year but he's only got 6 goals. Assists are very important, but i'd still value goal scorers a little bit higher than playmakers.

Also, i think De-Haan is quite underrated. I've seen a lot of him with the Isles and he's a good d-man. Haven't watched enough of him this year, but he was very good last year in Carolina.

Do you think the trade would be fair if Kreider and the 1st round pick were not involved

so an overperforming centre , a defensemen making 8 million who actually Pionk>. Kreider who isn't bad but not 60-70 points, FOR a pernnial 30-40 goal scorer, a POTENTIAL LOTTERY PICK IN A SUPER DEEP DRAFT, and an underrated Dman? nope.
