Montreal rejects the first trade. We aren't trading 2 firsts and our best prospects for a 29 YO.

    Tatar starts with a 1st + A Prospect.

I know Byron's value isn't currently high, but there's no point in trading him unless we get a good offer. He still plays a solid role here.

Why would we put Reilly on waivers? He's still a solid #6/#7 choice

Tatar does not pull a 1st AND an A prospect...sorry. It just wont happen.

Domi, Drouin, Lehkonen are all better than Byron. No need for him with Suzuki, Lekonen, Armia, Brassard for the PK.

Reilly is a bum, just because he played 1 good game in the middle of December does not guarantee anybody a spot on the roster lmao Kulak, Romanov are both better than Reilly.

If Tatar doesn't pull a 1st and an A prospect, we don't trade him. Simple as that. I imagine there would be a team that gives us a first + their 1st from last year.

Byron's role has transitioned, he isn't here to play offensive minutes. He plays 4th line time with Top PK time, none of which Domi, Drouin, Lehkonen do.

Hard to say Romanov is better, he's playing 3rd line time in the KHL. There's no point in trading Reilly.

Tatar has more points than Hall so far this season ... and he's not a rental, still has another season after this year, he's the better value per $ cap
