No chance Montreal does that trade.

just throwing random other ideas out there - not particularly realistic

Drouin is really not available. Not a bad offer but before the injury in November, he was really coming into his own. He was breaking games open for Montreal and the fans loved him. He’s also a hometown kid who loves playing here. Drouin went through a lot of struggles since he got to Montreal and now he’s finally arrived. So thanks but no thanks on the offer.

Yeah, I don't really think either of these deals would ever come to fruition in the real world, but I think that the value at least makes sense for an AGM post - thanks for comment!

These are definitely different. Kind of dig the joey skinner swap. Don’t think drouin is really on the market but if he was I think they’d be looking to improve in an area of weakness vs a lateral type move with prospect sweeteners. I think the team even with granlund in there would look pretty good

It would be an alright trade, but Drouin's upside is much higher than Granlund's.

I agree. I don't think they're gonna trade Drouin, but just looking at what a deal could look like as I was looking forward to the preds drafting him before tampa took him (was still happy with jones of course) - but I think he would've done well here.

Yeah but I mean it does make sense for both teams. Except, for the NMC on skinner and would not want to be traded.

The only thing that doesn't make sense for Buffalo is offense for offense. Sabres can't spare that much up front. Even if it's for a good top 6c

The way I see it, Montreal doesn't have the incentive to make this trade but the value isn't terrible. If Granlund was a LHD, i might change my mind. As for Buffalo, very interesting out of the box idea but as Wojme said its kind of pointless. If they are goign to make a move for offense, it'll come at the expense of their numerous dmen and some picks and or prospects. Not the only true sniper on the wing they have.

Well, hell, RyJo would be the perfect 2C for Skinner, but Jeff often plays with marginal players and can't produce, because our GM idiot who paid him 9M and didn't care that Skinner needed at least the usual 2C.

Yea, I'm in the same boat with this one, but I would do it... Mostly because it would strengthen our offense as well as defense...if we can keep possession. Skinner is also worth 1m more so free up call for another trade for F with D pool

I don’t know, maybe I did too, but now we have a Skinner who can score goals, but no help, he needs a good playmaker in position 2C. If we trade Skinner for RyJo, then we will have a good playmaker in position 2C, but there will be no guy like Skinner and there will be no one who can score so many goals. Skinner also has a full NMC and seems to want to play close to home, and this is Buffalo or Toronto.

Yea, fair enough...I hope Mitts after his Stint in the AHL will have the confidence to be the 2C he was supposed 2 be

Habs should consider trading Domi for a legit top 4 LD.

I don't see it. I imagine Bergevin just wants to draft and develop through the draft. Mete has proved he belongs there, and the way Chiarot is currently playing, I'd like to see the lineup when they are both healthy.

I don't think the Habs should trade Domi at all but if a Zach Werenski type player was offered i'd do it.
