Rocking a 3.36 GAA and a .901 Sv% over the past 2.5 years and 39 next spring, he is hardly a prime target for next year. To put it mildly.

Ryan Kesler already said that he's not waiving his NMC, And definitely not waiving it for no Canadian team.

If he's not coming back, why would it matter? He can spend his winter at a Mexican resort if he's on LTIR.

Just going by what was reported by some NHL insiders, That he has no desire to waive his NMC from Anaheim. Doesn't matter anyways because it's not costing the Ducks anything with him on LTIR. Same with Detroit and Franzen and Zetterberg they can afford it.

I always got the impression they have an internal budget below the cap. Russell have a very low salary next year

Not thinking a prime target but maybe someone who can play a role like Mike Smith?

I'd target someone younger, like Georgiev.
