Lind - likely not for sale but Id expect his value to be in similarly valued forward prospect. Not sure who that is on Hurricanes but I dount Canucks would sell him for pick or current NHL player when they dont need to sell assets.
Baertschi - probably like 4th/5th round pick? Not much value there.
Goldobin - 5th rounder as well? He is 24 and playing in AHL. There is not much value in those players imo.

Baertschi and Goldobin are players I can see doing well with the correct players. Thats why I am kind of curious.

As for Lind, I seen him doing very well in the AHL so I thought Id ask.

Goldobin needs to play in top-6 (the success last year with Horvat). He is extremely talented but needs to be better overall. You cannot survive in NHL just purely on your own skills.

I'd say Baertschi has very little value since he cleared waivers Dec 16, 2019.

I mean 5th round pick is basically paying for his experience in NHL (Hutch trade to Leafs as example).. his contract might lower that value tho.

Probably one of your seconds for Lind if he was on the block.

He should be on the NHL. Just because they clear waivers doesn't mean they are useless. Consider some reasons:

1. Vancouver was cap strapped and needed to do something to lower their cap. This required a roster player making above 1M to go down.
2. Vancouver has far too many fowards. They have more bottom six guys than any other team in the league. Most of them won't be around next year, but it still made making decisions tough. Sven wasn't going to play on the fourth line as that's not his game. He was forced out of the top 6 by Pearson and Leivo and the third line by Gaudette taking 3C and moving Sutter down.
3. There were injury problems. Much better to play lighter minutes in the minors than risk getting hurt again immediately. These concerns should be gone now.
4. I don't think he has bonded with Green. Green has decided to use other guys over him even if it's not the wisest move.

Most importantly, we KNOW his game isn't lost because he is WELL over a point per game in the minors. He is too good for that league and does thus deserve NHL minutes. I don't think he gets moved without retention (thus why he wasn't claimed off waivers), but teams are passing on a legitimate middle six forward for almost free otherwise.

Ok but every team had a shot to get him for free and no one did.

again, it's his cap. if he cost 2.5M or less, I could see a bunch of teams being interested. Retain the guy and he has value.

Why would Carolina need these guys?

Goldobin and Baertschi seem like guys the Oilers should take flyers on.
