There is a big difference between them. Karlsson had 4 70+ point seasons. Dougie has hit 50 points once. Im hoping his contract is around the 8mil mark, and on the Canes

Montreal doesn't really need Dzingel, don't see them being interested.

Not sure about Tracey. We’d do Kopacka, Morand, or Lundestrom

First of all, I agree with you. I want Hamilton signed more than anyone. The wildcard is the increasing cap leading to increasing asks, which with this FO, likely leads to sign-and-trades.

Montreal was rumored to be the other suitor for Dzingel in UFA, along with Chicago and Carolina. This is why I used Montreal as the team in the trade.

Dzingel could be a fit for the right price, depending how the offseason goes. But it's not Montreal's priority, I agree on that.

That's a no for Boston. We're not very deep at center for prospects.

With the emergence of Suzuki and now even Poehling, can't see why they would be interested.

It only takes one great season to get paid. Look at Jeff skinner. IMO I think Hamilton will get between 9-9.5.

You downgraded the team to no end, made the team CONSIDERABLY worse, and screwed over the squad, that's something

How did I downgrade the roster? This is an off-season roster, NOT this season. To me, Kase for Dzingel is a bigger upgrade than Hamilton to Barrie is a downgrade, particularly when considering salaries. Acquiring the Backes contract and pulling a sign-and-trade for Hamilton helps us get two highly-coveted 1st round drafted prospects in Beecher and Tracey.

Also, this roster was created out of a very specific scenario; if Dougie is asking for Karlsson-like money and term. It's not exactly an ideal situation.
