I wouldn’t say powerhouse. Still a lot to fix but I feel like our team’s confidence is at sky high rn.

You nailed it. Lots to fix but the confidence is high which is never a bad thing.

It's important to not get too high on the roll the team is on right now but not get too low when there's a losing streak.
Remember the saying "never as good as you think you are when winning and never as bad as when losing" breathe deep and stay even keel.

They are not a powerhouse. They play to their strenghts and it shows. They are far from what they can be still, but they are getting there.

I mean they are 6-4 their last 10 games..... Btw 6-4 would be tied for 5th in the metro for win/lose in the last 10 games. Have they played better since the new coach? Yeah but they are still not as good as advertised. Long way to being a THE top team in the east. They also are 2 points away from being 5th in their own division hardly powerhouse status. I bet your excited maybe just type this up and delete it after. Just saying nobody likes bragging especially when the results are average to good. Tml are trending in the right direction but they also have played a fairing easy schedule.

We should do a March Madness style bracket of most delusionally homer posters. TMLSage is atleast a 2 seed.

9-4 with their new coach. A little more like what was expected to begin the season.

If they can get even average backup goaltending moving forward, they'll be fine.

A team going 6-3-1 would be excellent by any standards on a year round basis. Maybe as fans we don't appreciate good coaching or recognize bad coaching as such a detriment to a team.
I was frustrated by Babcock's game management for years and I'm sure the players think Babcock cost the Leafs games and at least one playoff series.

If they can get adequate backup. They don't even need average.

They're comfortably in a playoff spot if their backups were 2-4-1 for 5 points which is still ****ty instead of 0-6-1

A lot of focus is on the record of the backup, which has been their Achilles heel, but with Andersen in net, they're one of the best teams in the league. He is 7 games above .500.

Babcock was great with the rebuild and Lou at the helm. Some of his decisions were questionable but the results were there in the regular season. He simply couldn't adapt to a change in philosophy and his ego was no longer needed.

The team under Keefe is certainly a breath of fresh air and entertaining to watch.

No matter how good the team does you are going to have a tonne of people actively hoping they suck. They legit need to win the cup to silence most of the detractors. Keefe could get this team to win 40 of their remaining games and it won't matter, most of the people on this thread saying they aren't good will still say the same. It'll be because they have an easy schedule or the refs handed it to them or Andersen is the only reason or whatever other excuse. Troll nation is strong

Wrong. They have had the toughest schedule in the league for the early part of the season. They had 4 back-to-back's (the most in the league) early in the season and that was pointed out on a local radio station. The schedule does get easier in the new year so I guess that's the silver lining here.

It was was pointed out on Leafs Lunch that Andersen is on pace to play 70 games this season. So much for having a fresh starting goalie for the playoffs.

I guess tonight may be a big night to figure out if a proper backup goalie is needed.
70 games pace is just nuts....honestly, 60 games is too much imo but it's going to be 60 games easy the way things are going.

If Hutchie plays poorly after tonight, Dubas HAS to trade for or get new backup.

They had no choice but to play him until the team found its confidence again. Rest for him is pointless if they were to miss the playoffs.

Look at the last 10 games and tell me that they had the hardest schedule. I’ll wait

Don't bother waiting.
I was referring to the entire early part of the season, not just a 10 game stretch.

That might be true but dude is glorifying this coach when he’s had a fairly simple schedule vs what babs had
