I wonder if Ottawa would gamble on another first from sj with pickles for pageau and a Ottawa package that would buy some cap room and try to kickstart this squad. Kinda a all in sorta move

I would do it if the sharks had a chance, but at this point its just hopeless.

Sharks need a blockbuster, and try to move a large contract or two like a jones and or pickles and spread 12 million around a bit, that forward group as good as any, but need some tending and some blueline depth beyond top 3

Sharks have 34.5m invested long term in four players whose contracts take them into their mid to late 30s. It look eerily familiar to the what the Kings did...signing their own guys to long term deals. At least the Kings had two Cups to show for it before their decline. I'm not optimistic for the Sharks now or in the future.
The Karlsson trade and signing. It's one of these situations...again....where a team pays/overpays for a player who they think will put them over the top that season (last year). Then they compound the problem by signing the same player to a massive contract didn't look so good in 2019, and likely won't look good in the future.

They will be fine if they can add another goalie and a forward. This season is likely gone though.
