Lol the leafs are not trading Nylander for that. He's easily the most underrated player in the league with the bull**** he gets

I think I see where you are going with this, but I do not believe these are the right moves for the Leafs or the other two teams involved. Here are my thoughts:
1. Why would either team do that Nylander trade? Chicago has no reason to move Boqvist and frankly he probably has more value to them than Nylander, while Toronto does not need another overpaid defenceman in Murphy. That contract only gets in the way frankly.
2. Barrie is still a solid player, so I don't think we should trade him if we consider ourselves a contender.
3. The value is a bit off in the last trade because Hutch is worth very very little and DeSmith and a 2nd is a pretty steep price to pay for half of a season of Barrie, especially since Pittsburgh is not exactly the best team in a tough Eastern conference (particularly the metro).

Overall, I would keep Barrie while we make a push for a decent playoff run. He is certainly better than Murphy. I would also hold onto Nylander since he is playing well and the contract isn't looking quite so bad now, even if Boqvist is good and has lots of potential. So, pretty much, I don't think either deal makes sense for either team involved. But good on you to have some fun and share your thoughts.

Willie is just too gifted. He is the 2nd most allround talented player out of the Leafs forward group. He is not very responsible at time, but a lot of young players are not. He should figure it out in his mid 20s

I don't know many. Boqvist looks like he's going to be a really good defenceman. This is a lot closer than it looks. I don't think I do it but I would think about it for a long time.

Its not that he isn't responsible, sometimes he just doesn't have the engine as other guys have. Also Hrudy constantly crapping on him doesn't help the public perception. I think Keefe has to find a way to inspire Nylander to give it more all the time. If he took his intensity level up a couple of notches, he could be as good as Marner but when things are going his way, he tends to fall off a bit. That can often be the case with young guys so I think he'll learn to rise above it.

Fair point, but to be honest, the same is true for Marner. I have seen many games where he did not really do much. Also, Nylander can shoot the puck. I think Keefe does not care about the opinion of fans and media. He knows that a lot of fans have no clue and media is just trying to get audience by telling fans what they want to hear

If you think Murphy is overpaid then you have no idea what kind of player he is.

Chicago easily walks away from this. We aren't trading one of the top defensive rookies in the league along with a #3 defensive pairing for Nylander. Nylander is good, but not that good.
