EDM trade isn't happening maybe if you drop Jones, but Gagner has 8 points in 16 games and Helm 8 in 36? So Oilers would really want his defensive game for it to happen and the midround pick likely enough accounting for the extra year for cap Helm brings

Yeah, I don't see this happening. Maybe this:

Helm (50% retained)

for

Chiasson + 5th round pick

Columbus can’t afford to buyout Neilson and that really isn’t enough for us to consider taking that buyout. We have no need for a LHD and Harrington and Sherwood are worth more then a 5th.

That Anaheim trade is AWFUL. Gudbranson, for all the criticism, is worth more than Bowey right now and likely to be a better defenseman than Bowey not only this year but next season, too. Svechnikov hasn't shown he can play in the NHL yet and Sherwood is outscoring him at the AHL level. Lundestrom is a first-round pick who is already proving he'll be an NHLer, and the Ducks gave up on Bernier long ago -- not to mention the fact that Anaheim has the Czech Republic's World Juniors goalie in the system. What were you thinking?
