2nd entry, this one covers a trade for PK Subban.

PK Subban has been an absolute disaster for the Devils, 6 points, -14, and 40 PIM. It is clearly not working out. Currently riding a $9 million AAV, that's a steep price for someone who as struggled to play a full season and hasn't produced in the last 4 years or so.

With the Devils being in full rebuild, a team in need of a solid D-man could fetch a decent haul, though with $9 mill AAV they would potentially have to eat some of that to make it work.

Between Yandle, and Stralman, the Cats have a lot of money tied up to aging defenseman, but adding a former Norris Trophy winner is something you have to at least give Ray Shero a call about. Matheson has a long contract that is hard to get rid of, but he's putting up similar numbers to Subban for half the price. Hoffman is UFA at the end of the year, so this is just a simple salary dump. Lastly, will the open roster spot, this is a good time to call up a winger, whether Borgstrom or Tippett, to put in the bottom 6 to pair up with the Boyle line.

Acquire PK Subban from NJD for Mike Matheson, Mike Hoffman, and 2020 2nd Round Pick.

I think it benefits both teams. Panthers get a Subban who just needs out, Devils get Bootleg Subban and half a year of Hoffman plus the pick. The pick might be a little much, could see the 3rd as the Cats have an extra one.

Oh the contract is awful, I'm on the fence about him honestly, lives in the grey area where is it worth it to put up with the antics. I think he could help out the Panthers, New Jersey just is not the right fit, bottom line.

Thank you, I put a good bit of work into this one. Matheson is Subban but without any production...ever, and Hoffman holds value an expiring with multiple options to fill his shoes in the AHL. Might as well get use out of him before you lose him for free in July.

I look forward to any of your rebuilds that you make up, you got a lot of time think about that one over the next 5 years or so lmao
