So trade everyone you don't like on your team for everyone you like on another team basically? Trade gets rejected fast

No they don't lol - both sides need to see value. There is almost no value on the MIN side compared to what they are giving up. By your logic I could trade Watson for Guentzel...

You could if you add high draft pick(s) and good prospect(s)

That's the point I'm making - so you agree. But you didn't do that to your trade, so there is no incentive to make it for MIN. You may think you did, but you really didn't.

Zucker >> Galchenyuk
Brodin >>>> Johnson
Foligno (this season) > Bjugstad
And then you added a 2nd in 2022 (lol) and a B prospect

It's simply not enough - not even close.

I would argue joseph is worth more, he's not as offensive as addison but that most likely means he's better defensively. He was highly touted in his draft year and was used to acquire kessel, someone who is much better than anyone in this deal.

Even if you value him more, it doesn't make it a good trade for MIN. if the trade were in reverse, would you still make it?

And Kessel was going to be traded for Zucker with a bad contract swap tacked on. Rask and Johnson were just swapping bad contracts, with each team getting a term they were more comfortable with.

P.S. Zucker has 3 more points this year than Kessel in 5 less games at $1.3m less cap hit. Tell me again about how much better Kessel is, I’ll wait.

Kessel is second in points among U.S. born players. He's gotten 20 or more goals in the last 11 seasons and the only other players to do that are ovechkin, toews, and kane. In fact only Crosby and Ovechkin have more 25+ goal seasons than Kessel. Kessel even had a 92 points season and has had 80 points seasons, yes plural. Zucker has never had more than 64 points. And then youre bringing up a 3 point difference between the two right now with like 40 games left. Kessel could have like a five point night, hot streaks and cold streaks come and go and at the end of the day kessel has accomplished way more than zucker. Kessel also was named the best forward at the Olympics and won a silver medal for it and he won two stanley cups. Zucker didnt do that either.

And these are all past accomplishments. Kessel is over 30 and we've seen plenty of forwards over 30 fall off a cliff.

True but there also plenty of examples where a change of scenery would fix problems like that. Example; pacioretty
