3 first round picks and a 2nd for 31 YO making 10,5 Million until he's 35? I know Kane is good and all, but Chicago would be nuts to turn that down, on the otherside Montreal rejects.

But yes, Montreal rejects the 2nd trade.

Merry Christmas!

I have no idea about the first trade but I agree that Montreal rejects the 2nd trade. Why does Montreal reject the trade? Is it the price or the player?

Chicago says No.

He is a Staple of our franchise won't be bought with 3 late firsts, a 2nd and a cap dump.

The way I see it is, MTL has a solid prospect pool already on paper. I wouldn't resign Tatar and Petry, rather I'd trade them after next year and try to get a 1st for each one in the 2022 draft. Thompson will be gone, eventually shift Domi to LW and let Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, Poehling and Lias Anderson battle and earn the 2 available C slots. Luckily for the Habs Suzuki, KK and Anderson can also play the wing.

I def agree
Chicago will not trade their core of their franchise

and then two seconds for a player who got 6 points in 42 games (0.14 pts/gp) is ridiculous

Don't see Montreal being interested in a 31 YO winger in the first place. Then when you factor in that price, it's a double whammy.

3 1st rounders are complete lottery tickets and probably would be late rounders. Kane is the Blackhawks. No way they accept
