Scouting report on TVR

Created by: truculence67
Team: 2019-20 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 25, 2019
Published: Dec. 25, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I’ve not seen him play much but he skates well and seems solid in his own end. He might be an inexpensive trade option and pair well with Rielly. Obviously I’d prefer to have pesce or Hamilton but my sense is that dubas has exhausted those options and both ships have sailed.

Would like to hear a canes fan’s opinion about tvr

Is this a joke?
How is 3rd pair TVR able to slot up to 1st pair instead????

Leafs reject with prejudice.

I really don't see how a guy that is currently struggling on the 3rd pair is going to excel on the 1st. He's got a pretty atrocious PDO, but still.

It's always a miracle how other teams depth guys are suddenly first line talent.

Kind of like Ceci eating first pair minutes on OTT last season and everyone thinking he’s an actual good D man.

Its amazing how other teams depth guys like Andreas Johnsson, Kasperi Kapanen, and Jeremy Bracco would all play top line talents on other teams.

Regardless of TVR playing 3rd pair in Carolina he is in reality a solid #3/4 defensive defenseman on most other teams. Is a right handed shot and woukd be a solid stopgap option for Liljegren and 2nd pair guy for replacing Ceci and Barrie next year

Of course other teams bottom end Dmen are so much better than the Leafs.....That theme has gone on for years. Leafs don't make that deal unless they are desperate. By desperate one of their current RHD is injured and the Leafs need one. But I wouldn't mind the Leafs sacrificing Johnsson if a short term measure is needed.
TVR might find a place with the Leafs next year as UFA.
