I like the player but IMO, Thats alot for Danault? but he would be a near perfect 3rd line Center.
- To much for Simmonds ?? But we def need some toughness on this soft team.

First two no, lateral moves at best, likely downgrades, the last one for sure, but I highly doubt MTL accepts

I know Danault doesn't have a lot of the name recognition to warrant that price tag, he's worth it. He's been Montreal's top line center this year and has performed more than admirably in that role. I think he's proven that he can be a good 2C on a contending team, and he's still young enough to be worth a price tag like this.

Danault is incredibly underrated. IMO, he should have been a front-runner for the Selke last season. To me, he seems like an untradeable player, because there's no way he'll ever fetch what he's worth to a contending team.

Danault is very good but that's quite a bit to give up, maybe replace one of Hallander or POJ with a 3rd round pick and it's fair.
