Hawks decline. Something might be worked out for Crow...if he wants to waive, but these miscellaneous parts and pieces aren't helping the Hawks.

It's a good package but I just can't see the hawks giving up their only defensive minded Dman. They need to trade for a defensive Dman. Not trade one away

Trade would be simpler. Ceci and johnsson plus a second round pick. Hawks don’t need/have room for bracco. Rasanen is a fringe prospect and a fourth pick isn’t going to move the needle at all

Murphy for Kap/Ceci is an even swap. Johnsson and Kap may be even or close to it which I'd still argue Kap is slightly better, but Kap has more upside given his age and therefore more valuable. If Johnsson/Ceci for Murphy, then Leafs have to add probably a 3rd rounder.

That's leaves Crow for Bracco, a 4th rounder, and a unsigned B prospect isn't going to cut it. Bracco is somewhat interesting but Eemeli is not to the Hawks and a 4th rounder is not worth much. Bracco and a 2nd rounder and you have a deal.

If the hawks are sellers (which I think they will be) they should be trying to get younger and build up their prospect pool. They can always find a replacement for Murphy in free agency and he’s exactly the type of player that they should be looking to move

Teams don't trade for prospects they trade for players who have a good chance of being in the NHL. Do Bracco and Rasanen and a fourth rounder fit that description?
DeHaan and Seabrook out of the season. Hawks are need Murphy this year and next year.

I can't see bowman selling at the deadline. This team is in no position to be buyers but how many more times can the hawks miss the playoffs and bowman keep his job?

I'm a Bowman supporting even in these down times. He's made good moves this past offseason unlike the year before. Signing Lehner to a 1 year $5M contract...Trading a 5th rounder for Kubalik...I'm still a fan of the DeHaan trade even though he got hurt again. He already provided more to the Hawks than either of Forsling's or Forsberg's entire careers.

I hope they do sell. It would actually make me believe in Stan more than if he tried to force this bad team into being buyers and losing picks/prospects.

Yeah but for every good move he made he also made bad ones. Giving up kahun for maata. Anisimov for Zach smith. A third line of kubalik anisimov and kahun would've been cool.

Could argue that bringing back shaw was a mistake with his concussion history.

Hawks could really use jokiharju right about now.

I agree with your last statement. They're not a deadline deal away from being contenders. They should with sell or stand pat.

You've got a problem if the GM is more concerned with his job security then with what's best for the franchise

Exactly this, I'm not a Hawks fan but Bowman really effed up in the summer, just brought in a bunch of depth with a lot of term, what a wasted opportunity!

Kapanen is an RFA too so yeah he's the guy you want, not Johnsson.
