Might have been a lot of good NHLers drafted.. but was probably one of the worst for teams getting the order right. Just look at all the 100+ jumps

I tried to keep it by position for as much as possible. Given that, maybe Vasilevskiy or Andersen could've gone to CBJ in this draft (they picked two goalies in round 2).

True, but it's still pretty nice that every single player on this list is at least somewhat useful.

3rd round in 2012 was pretty good for the teams that hit on those picks.

I also wonder how Vasilevskiy and Andersen are in this draft even though Andersen's 5 years older

He was drafted in 2010 but did not sign. Because he played in Europe instead of North America, he was eligible to re-enter the draft at age 22.

Vasilevskiy's birthday is also just a little before September 15th, while Andersen's is just a little after. Thus, the age disparity is more noticeable.

It was a good core draft, but there aren't many superstar level players from it.
