Big time no from the Hawks. A few cap dumps, a few prospects that are question marks, and 3 first rounders for our entire core. The return is not even close for Chicago. Also, it doesn’t make sense for Buffalo to try to trade for an aging core either. I don’t think these are the types of players Buffalo needs, except Kane. Every team needs Kane.

Mittelstadt is the most interesting piece here, but he and (3) 1st rounders, while taking on a few cap dumps just isn't close to moving the needle enough to give up Kane, Toews and Keith. Kane alone is worth 2 1sts and Mittelstadt even at his age.

That said, this team is pretty unreal you put together. Toews would be the 2C over Cozens for sure.

Jets aren't trading Ehlers for that.

Can't see the Bruins giving a 2nd in that deal. Maybe a 5th or 6th

No chance Chicago does that and not enough value for us though if this were to happen, you would have to move pieces the following year just to get under cap.

I agree these trades won't happen. That being said why in the world wouldn't you pair Toews with Kane? Assuming it is a TDL deal you are bringing in 2 players that have chemistry and have been Teammates for 13 seasons.
