Detroit passes they have enough players over 30 they aren't going to take anymore. if you want McIlrath a draft pick will do it maybe 5th or 6th.

A big no with the Islanders. Leddy is long past his prime. You have overpaid to get him.

And dehaan is one more injury away from his career being over, no overpayment here

De Haan is not Leddy. Leddy is worth more than what you offered. And if you are trying to tell me that Forsberg & Forsling are valued higher than De Haan, you are mistaken.

De Haan has been a good acquisition for the Hawks this season. Also De Haan left the Isles two years ago, as a free agent (Carolina). What makes you think the Isles would want him back?

The trades Bowman made this summer on defence, I think were a stop gap measure until the prospects can play regularly in the NHL. What I like about the Hawks defence excluding Keith & Seabrook, is they are cap friendly without movement clauses.

I am in agreement, the Hawks need a mobile defenceman, but why burn a draft pick & a prospect on a player like Leddy who will only cost you move in the future, when Hawk already have those players in the wings.
