Stats wise its not even close. No one within orders of magnitude of the guy. If you put any effort into thinking it through, comparing talent levels of each era and how goalies stood out against their peers, its painfully obvious.

Hasek is by far the best goalie ever.

Hasek's 94-99 is one of the greatest primes of all time, only eclipsed by Henrik's 2007-2016... Put in some basic time and effort to think this all through, especially thinking about the way the game was played in the trap era, and look at it fresh, and if you come away with Hasek ahead fine. You would be wrong but at least you arent sitting lazily on prior assumptions.

He's 3rd behind Hasek and Roy. But he's well ahead of Marty who kicked his feet up and was able to lounge behind one of the better defensive structures ever built in this league.

I did and Hasek's 94-99 is still better than henrik's 07-16. Hasek's career stats are better than hank's. dude won 3 straight vezinas and 5 out of 6. Its not even a discussion.

Sawchuk, Roy, Brodeur, Hasek, Plante, and Dryden off top of my head are better. That's 6 but most likely make top 10. Once he retires probably be 3rd for all time wins.

Biggest NYR fan here, NO we're NOT resigning him! He's already a backup, to shed an Alex & Igor duo for Hanks painful curtain call would be Ludicrous!!! Ps make 21, 22 & 23 teams, cap says no thanks. It was good while it lasted but, Bye Hank! To a contender or buyout, his choice. Because of his guaranteed one bad goal per game, he's top ten ish.

Sawchuck, Plante and Dryden wouldn't make an NHL roster in their prime today, Boomer. This is like saying that some O-Lineman on the 60's packers who was the best in the league could block Aaron Donald for .3 seconds, when in reality Donald would break him in half on the first snap on his way to killing Bart Starr on his first drop back. Stop comparing era's of players as if they are equal. Its graded on a curve.

when you say best goalie of all time, you bring up the comparisons between different eras... On that note, if aaron donald went back to the 60s do you think he would be as dominant with the limited resources they had? or how about the BEST O-Lineman of the 60's you dont think he could enhance his game with the technology/supplements/training equipment etc thats in modern day sports? its all relative.

Gotta win your team a Cup to be considered the greatest of all time. That’s table stakes just to be in the conversation.

He’s Top 10 in stats for sure. But Hank can’t hang with Hasek and Brodeur.

You must have forgotten about Roy, Hasek, Broduer, Luongo, Plante, Sawchuk and Esposito if you think Hank is the best goalie of all time

Dude obv if Hank tried to keep playing it would be for the vet minimum salary to take one more run at the cup. Not some 8,5m cap hit. Dont be obtuse.

Dude obv since he'd be washed up by then. That same 8.5m is standing in the way next year. Reality!
