This is a weird night. We agree on a Wilson hit and hags scored a goal. Haha

Wennberg hit was 100% clean. Didn’t even see Wilson. The Lilja hit was a bit more questionable as Wilson used another player as a screen and Lilja didn’t even see him, but would have been 100% clean if Lilja was in a better position on the ice. It’s been a surprisingly clean game in Washington tonight.

Wilson is just a tank. If he played in the 90’s early 2000 he would be a clean hockey player.

If he played in the 90s he would have been one of the best player in the NHL. As he can hit and score. That’s the reason fans of other teams hate him, because he’s tank and can crush players but also make you pay for being stupid.

Almost any fan can 100% say that if he were on their team he’d be a fan favorite.

Since the 20 game suspension wilson as been a clean players. He still delivers monster hit but have stop targeting the head. That the biggest difference, but i am glad that he could adjust is game because hockey need guys like him. Lindros Stevens hit no suspension. Not saying he’s considered clean now. He’s actually cleaned up like you said. People still like to complain about hits. It’s annoying

Yes i know. Hockey is not for sissies! Big hits have been part of hockey for year and it’s still a game changing momentum’s. People see a players get injured after a hit and always blame the hitters but most of the time its the puck carryer that is to blame. Knee on knee hits is by far a worst thing then a guys being hit with is head down.

All bias aside, tonight was not a night to complain about Wilson. Just because he delivers punishing hits doesn't mean he's dirty. If any other player in the league pulled off those hits, nobody says anything. It's just, "wow, what a hit!". But this is Wilson, so then we hear all about how dirty he is. Set your biases aside

Wennberghit was fine, Lilja hit was trash. Head first into the boards is boarding, whether 2 feet or 6 feet. Lilja was defenseless when hit, had no control in avoiding the final impact with the boards. League used to give Wilson a pass, but will be interested to see if they review. It should receive a look and supplemental discipline if the league wants to keep him honest and players safe. Nuff said.
