Description

A 1 for 1 swap to give the flames a veteran 3rd pairing D and to give the canucks some 3rd line "scoring" help. The purpose of this deal is to give the canucks cap room for next year to accommodate for resigning their RFAs while Calgary gets a veteran D signed beyond this season which is a nice necessity for them.

He is only signed for 2 years actually and yeah while I agree with you that This will keep Calgary on the hook for $2 million more, it will give them veteran presence on the blue line signed beyond this season which is something Calgary might be interested in with Brodie, Hamonic, and Stone being pending UFAs. Thanks for the feedback though!

Makes 0 sense. We finally get Frolik off the books and then take on a 2M anchor contract for Benn? Ben is a Mike Stone clone except Stone only costs 700K
