I doubt Daley gets much attention, and Miller 99.9% won't move, he has a full NTC, and the ducks don't have a backup behind him

Wow, not a lot of options. I wonder if some big name non-rentals could sneak into talks.

I agree the biggest name is already on a new team. With almost everyteam in the playoff race there not a lot of players on the block.

He's not a ufa so I think the Rangers will hold on to him and make a decision in June on whether to try to extend or trade him. Though I'm sure there is a price that would convince them to move him sooner.

Thats why i didn’t put him there in first place. Because rangers doesn’t have a lot of depth a center position.

Clifford and Martinez wont be traded. Clifford will be extended at least 3 years. Toffoli will attract about as much interest as Kreider.

If muzzin got traded clifford and martinez are candidate. Depending on the return there not a lot of player the kings won’t listen offer on. If someone offered you a second round pick for clifford los angeles would be stupid not pull the trigger on that

Clifford is worth much more than a 2nd round pick to the Kings. Ask any true Kings fan. He is very important to the team especially in this state of the team. Muzzin was traded because the Kings were offered a 1st round pick plus two B prospects and return in which Martinez and or Clifford could not bring back.

I am a huge fan of clifford but he turn 29 this summer and the kings will likely not be competitive for the next 2-3 season so trading him while having a good return is a option. The kings need two get younger. And clifford doesnt have a lot of year of great hockey in front of him. The way he play the game, past 30 will be difficult. Big guys who throw there body around doesnt age well in nhl

He's one of the few 4th liners that adapted with the game and completely changed his game. What 4th liner has a lot of great hockey in front of them? Lol. He is 29 and the kind of hockey he plays now he will continue until he is 32/33. He plays less than 12 minutes a game. The Kings won't ever be good if they expect to hold a roster with a group of 18-25 year olds with no experienced players to guide them. You are over thinking it and lack overall knowledge of the Kings and Kyle Clifford.

Inknow a lot about the king. They are a old roster whom doesn’t skate well. The just started a few season ago to built a prospect farm pool. They have good players that are p’aying in ahl and in europe but no one who is nhl ready. The king already have kopitar, quick, doughty, brown who will likely be part of the rebuilt. The kings need fresh leg. So trading clifford for a nice return is exactly what the king need

The roster is as follows:
Iafallo Kopitar Brown
Carter Prokhorkin Frk
Kempe Amadio Luff
Clifford Lizotte Wagner
Roy Doughty
Clague Walker
Hutton MacDermid
Toffoli, Martinez, Lewis, Grundstrom, Ryan, Campbell, and Quick. (Not necessarily in that order)
Only 6 of those players are old or slow or both. Quick is back to his usual self and playing great. Kopitar is getting older but currently doing better than many young stars in the NHL.
Most of those young players aren't even ready and barely hanging on to a roster spot. Most of those kids only have a spot because there isn't a better player fighting for it yet. Kings don't need to trade Clifford for any return. Toffoli and Lewis will be traded. They have the 2nd best prospect pool in the league. They just need to focus on the development of players like Vilardi, Turcotte, Kaliyev, Kupari, JAD, Clague ect. Kings aren't trading away picks so more high end prospects will pour in on their own. Kings already have the pipeline. Now they need to focus on turning these kids into NHL players.

Of course the kings won’t trade away pick. They needs more of these that why they need to trade clifford. Having the 2 best farm system doesn’t guarantee success. They need to keep building it. Of all these players you mentioned maybe two of them will have a major impact the other will find a lesser role or won’t even have a nhl career. Thats the % of nhl draft players who actually make it to nhl. From a draft year 40 % of the players drafted will play in nhl and 25 % will actually play more then 100 game. The number of players having a impact drop drastically so trading old marginal players who is on is last miles is always a good idea since they need more pick. I don’t built my team with old spunk. That the difference with you and me. I love what clifford have bring in those last years and in the cup run but its time too moved on. The nhl have change and the king need to involve if they want to have succes again.
