I make that trade in a heartbeat. I'm not sure the Jackets would though.

PS... Your roster is terribly incomplete in regards to LTIR. Johnsson is still out, Muzzin is out with a broken foot, and Mikheyev is gone for the next three months. That changes what you have presented here dramatically.

I suppose you are hoping that Anderson returns to form from years prior because he is having a dreadful year so far. With how bad he has been teams should be trying to buy low on him. I don't really know much about Gavrikov but as a LHD he doesn't really do much for me since we are reasonably set at that position. If Anderson got back to being a 20-20 type of guy with his size and physicality i would do this trade, but im afraid of how poorly he has done this year. Id try to buy lower on him but columbus has no incentive to sell low.

It doesn't matter anyways. The Leafs would never make this trade. Anderson is injured at present.

Even though a forward like Anderson is exactly what the Leafs need, he does not fit the "Kyle Dubas" blueprint. The entire idea is moot.

What's you idea of Dubas' blueprint? Small skilled players? non physical style hockey? I think dubas would welcome Anderson of last season onto this team with open arms. His analytical stats are decent and he provide size, speed and skill at the same time. Dubas goes out of his way to try and draft and develop undersized skilled players because he feels they are neglected by others and have a chance to thrive if given the proper attention and appreciation. He thinks undersized players are undervalued and therefore can gain an advantage by valuing them. I don't think that means he doesn't recognize skilled players who also have size and physicality.

CBJ decline. Anderson has been hurt most of the year, which is why his numbers are low. Gavrikov is a stud, a shut down guy with scoring potential. He is top pairing quality.

That’s a no from Columbus. Gavrikov is looking like he’s going to be a top 4 NHL d and Murray replacement if he hasn’t already replaced him in the line up. We have no use for a middle 6 RW and a middle 6 RW prospect.... please stop with this Idea that Columbus really wants Kapanen.... because we don’t.... unless he can play LW he isn’t going to play more then the 3rd or 4th line in Columbus and at that point he’s better off playing in Toronto who has a weaker left side, not saying it’s weak, just saying it’s weaker then the right side with Marner and Nylander.
