Nah. Nylander's cementing himself as a core guy on the Leafs, putting any doubts to rest after last season. Hanifin isn't worth that, Bennett is a middle-six guy. Leafs don't need that.

Pardon me, he's not even middle-six. He's got 5 points in 25 points. He's a 4th liner.

Leafs have no need for a lhd. I don’t mind Bennet but you aren’t getting much for him.

People need to watch Hanifin play more closely. He's 22, on an unreal long-term contract, and getting better by the week. Within a year or two, everyone will be valuing him as highly as Lindholm.

I don't think CGY would do that trade. It puts so much pressure on Valimaki to replace Hanifin immediately. Much easier for the Flames to hang a package of Bennett/Jankowski/Kylington/picks out there to get a big boost in the Top 6 forward grouping.

I don't like this deal for either team.
