Forgot TVR, spend a little more and get Gudas IMO.
At least Gudas can slot up a bit, TVR is bad.

I wouldn't rule it out. It all depends on what's coming back... but we definitely wouldn't make this trade. I'm of the belief that to truly contend we have to move out one of the big four and I can't see it being JT or AM which leaves us with Marner and Nylander. I'm fine with either but I think our management would prefer to keep MM because he kills penalties and is more dynamic with the puck and has better vision IMO. Plus Nylander is easier to move because of his contract and the fact that he can play center.

You think that because 80% of fans say that. There is no proof of that being anything but nonsense. The team has been the best in the league under Keefe. If they need another defenceman, moving one of Johnsson, or Kapanen is the smart move. Both have a lot of value. But Nylander is too valuable and unless someone is going to go over the top, like Jones for Nylander, there is no sense in moving him.

Because he thinks Nylander isn't good because he had a bad year in his holdout year and that's all that many people can see. Look at the guys he's around in overall scoring and then tell me he's overpaid and overrated.

I don't think jack s@#t because someone else does I think for myself thank you very much. That is my opinion your free to disagree as am I with your opinion neither is right or wrong just opinions. And that was sorta the point if we're trading Nylander it's for a stud D which would offer more stability to our lineup going forward. Stop making decisions based on emotion this is hockey the only place for emotion is on the ice.

I didn't mean to out you or anything boss. The way I say it, talking heads on TV keep saying TO needs to move one of their top forwards to "balance" the team because it creates controversy and non Leaf fans start licking their chops thinking they can get a top forward for a lesser player because "top 4 defenceman are more expensive to acquire than forwards". They aren't that is nonsense and it's all fan angst. The reality is, TO has assets they can move for good defensive help. They don't need to move Marner or Nylander for some okay defenceman because that's going to make them better. They could move a guy like Kapanen or Johnsson for a similar defensive player. Meaning a guy with upside who may need a change of scenery. I can't think of anyone off hand but both Kap and Mango have significant value. Keep the top 6 in tact and find help elsewhere.

No worries, hard to out me for something I've thought long before any media talking head may have mentioned it. I've also started it on here multiple times to multiple people. In no way am I claiming that the leafs should move out Nylander or Marner for an average D it would have to be a stud like I mentioned. In all honesty, it will be one of them or Kap or mango for help on the backend it just depends on what tier the D coming is on.

To your point in the offseason, we couldn't give Nylander away and now people think Mango for Anderson is fair value lmao. It's funny how on here if a leaf player has a bit of a slump their worthless yet when a player from another team disappoints their value isn't affected.

Like Manson for example. According to many on here it would take Nylander to get Manson. What a joke

Agreed. Talent-wise it's preposterous but I think it's more to do with his value to the ducks and their fans trying emphasize that, at least the ones I've talked to. Nonetheless, it's a none starter.

Emotional fan angst, Manson is not worth much, he hasn't been good apart from 2 years ago.

I said that because the NYR and JG are invested in Miller and the kid is looking to be a stud.
