NYR take it. I think Kreider will go off if he went to Pittsburgh.

Yah, Ive been trading for Kreider for around 4yrs now, lol

I really think with his speed and size, he could turn into even a better winger for Sid than Kunitz. He is just a perfect guy for Sid and Kunitz also got traded here around the same age as Kreider.

100% agree. Pens should be healthy for the playoffs and an acquisition like Kreider will put the Pens back in serious contention. GMJR has balls unlike some other GM’s so he’s not scared of trading a pick and prospect for a game changer. Appreciate that confidence from a GM in his club.

I think we are all just praying Jake is healthy by playoffs. It was like some kicked me in the b**** and the pain has never stopped since hearing the news, lol
But u are right about GMJR, he will do what ever it takes to replace Jakes scoring... It scares many fans here how he is here but Im like u and I love how bold he is.

That’s still just a lot for Kreider. That wouldn’t give the pens a pick til the 4th round. With it being such a deep draft, just too much to waste for a UFA. If Kreider came with a reasonable extension then I’d do it all day, just too much though without one. A 2021 2nd and 2022 3rd without conditions would be more my price max with Bjorkqvist.

not even trader Jim would not trade jake for nothing. Jake is having a career year. That is not a trade vancouver would do in my humble opinion.

No matter what if the trade happens now, Its going to cost more, Plus NYR hate trading w/ us & IMO we could trade a RFA like Simon or Kahun to get some picks back at seasons end.
** Id bet to Kreider would re-sign here too

I based the trade off of the Sheary / Hunwick trade w/ BUF & PIT 2-3 yrs ago.
Altho Virtanen is a better player than Sheary , Baertschi is a worse cap hit than Hunwick was = so it kind of evened out??

That’s why I wouldn’t trade with NYR. He’d be amazing here probably but not worth the 1st if it’s not at least 2-3 years of Kreider. The thing is, guys like Simon and Kahun would get a 2nd and 3rd at best. I’d rather keep the first instead. We don’t need like 7 guys to become future nhl players. Just like 1 or 2 from this draft would be great.
