I’m all for renting out Kreider, but he does not strike me as a guy you want to sign long term. He already is sort of inconsistent and he relies on his speed and power which tend to be the first two attributes to go when players age.

1st + Kostin is about the price for Kreider. I don't think Sanford is enough compensation to take on Steen's cap hit next year...

I think Blake Wheeler is a good example of a speed guy who has done fine with age. The thing about Kreider is that his defense/possession metrics have been always great and those tend to be fine long term even if he's not scoring at the same clip at 34...

If Kreider accepts 6 years 5 million per , hes not being traded. He stays with that contract.
