Description

Blues trade was off a Proposal I saw by Sicarius. Interesting way to maximize trade assets by taking Steen.

Not a fan of 3 Goalie rotation. But if they choose not to trade Georgiev, and Hank refuses to waive NTC, it might be able to work. Shesterkin gets much needed NHL playing time, but can still be sent down to AHL if needed for injury replacement at other positions.

Miller and Barron both Mid Season call ups.

Hank already said he isn't bigger than the team and understands he could be traded. At the TDL there will be a number of teams inquiring about Georgiev so I think Hank will work with the Rangers if they really decide to trade him.

Moving Steen frees the money for pietrangelo's extension but not kreider's. Doubt Armstrong would give up those pieces for a rental considering the way the blues have been trending. When healthy we'll have plenty of depth and Thomas is establishing himself as a top six option with kyrou coming along right behind him. Plus we've somewhat emptied the cupboards - would be nice to keep kostin and draft in the first round this year.

By taking on Steen, you could definitely get the 1st and Kostin. Maybe getting Sanford is a reach. Perhaps a lesser Pick, instead. Or maybe a lesser Prospect tossed in by the Rangers.
