And we retain half I bet?
$800-900K per puck sounds like a deal!

Even at 50% retention how is Tampa manage the cap for the next two full seasons?

Exactly that plus with 50% retention it likely greatly increases the Devils asking price, he's just not worth it.

I see two teams for Subban, possibly Philly and NJ,
there's just no one else where I can see a need for him or that could fit him, maybe the Canucks too but that's it.

I know it's subjective, but IMO Subban isn't even a 4.5m Dmen. Jersey would better off trading him for 7th rounder, eating 4.5m retention and then have 4.5m to spend elsewhere.

Maybe there should be "lemon law" like there is for cars. Leafs trade Ceci and two second rounders for 4.5m Subban. Subban comes with 30 month warranty. Leafs can give him back anytime starting next June to Jersey and get their picks back too.

I din’t Think the lemon law applies to scrap steel....

Which reminds me have you seen the scotiabank ad with Matthews and Subban?

There's something you are forgetting. Sure his on ice production may climb a bit. But there's a reason he keeps getting traded and that's his personality and lack of commitment. He has a side business to run too lol (clothes) He is a problem off ice. He doesn't gel well in any lockerroom.

I foresee him being traded at least 6 more times before he retires, so maybe that?

No, I haven't seen the commercial. Since November 1st, I've been out every evening from about 630 to 930. so I tape the games and fast forward through many commercials

Pk Subban and Matthews are on the ice together and Pk leans over to Matthews and says he just got $350 for opening a scotiabank account. Matthews replies “last signing bonus you’ll ever see”

Nice to see PK still has his sense of humour..

We don't. There is no way to make this happen and there is no way this happens.
Why would you even want to pay a guy 4.5M AAV for the next two seasons when he's a sub par Dman which happens to be a defensive liability too. Not even Chiarelli would want Subban
