You would have to find a team willing to give a first round pick. Most contenders have good goaltending, so they wouldn’t want to spend a first on him. For obvious reasons a rebuilding team isn’t going to drop a first.

yeah this is usually the problem. Doubt the Rangers would deal Georgiev to their division. But teams like Minnesota, Edmonton and Calgary all could work in theory.

If you get a 1st its a Frederik Andersen scenario where the team knows the pick is super late. So if the Rangers wait until the off-season, then maybe.

Good point by Stan Bowman. If a team doesn't offer an 1st rounder then he isn't worth a first seconder....change my mind. Georgiev is offer sheet eligible Up to 4.25m is only worth a secord rounder, and the Ranger have a cap issues this summer

Rangers will either trade him for a first or just keep him.

And Grubbauer went for 2nd and cap dump.

Ben Bishop been traded 3 times. Most he got was a 2nd.

Devan Dubnyk 3 times...best return...3rd.

Goalies generally don’t have high trade value.

Good luck. I doubt you’ll get a 1st. Especially in a strong free agent market looming in the offseason and other goalies like Raanta and Allen among others potentially on the trade block in the offseason.

"2019-20 9-6 2.72 9.20(Miss Playoffs) 23 Years"

Where did you get this stat line from? It's WAY off. His correct stats this year are:

10-8-0-1 3.23 GAA, .908 Sv%

His month splits:

Oct: 2.56 GAA, .924 Sv%
Nov: 3.48 GAA, .904
Dec: 3.44 GAA, .904

His past 5 games:

2-3-0-0 4.80 GAA, .855 Sv%

His 3 year Sv% is NOT trending in a good direction either:

17-18: .918
18-19: .914
19-20: .908

NHL has learned from Jones, Dell, Talbot, Lehner, and now Grubauer. It never works getting someone else's cast offs especially when it's that important a position
