Was this a good signing?

He has 9 points in 17 games this year. How are you going to say he isn't an NHL player?

He has 5 5v5 points this year. And when he's on the ice the team has coughed up 14 5v5 goals vs the 5 the team has scored.
So when you are leaking goals 3 to 1, and not really producing 5v5....you are done.

That's how one can easily see he's not an NHL level player.

It’s called sarcasm would be good if you learned what that was maybe look it up in the dictionary. Also Gally isn’t your best winger because he is injured right now sooooooooooooo yeah. But whatever kid.

Realized it was sarcasm BEFORE answering
And since Gally's injured best winger is TaTaR

So you're looking at his 5v5 on one of the worst teams in the league? Their goal differential is -26. I don't think it's fair to use that stat.

It's not fair to use stats that don't agree with what I say............

Are you from China?

You are using a stat that is bad because of the team.

In Kovalchuk's first game, he had an assist, was a +2, 4SOG and played 19 Minutes. He's clearly an NHL player

Yup two points and a -1 on the night.

2 games. 2 5v5 assists....omg put him on the all star team now.

You keep looking at it in a little window. Most of use see the bigger picture. You lost tonight with him on the ice.
Again, it's one game. Lets come look a this in 20 games.

It's funny, because if he didn't put up any points, you would be on here trash talking about how you were right. It's the other way, so lets wait until your narrative fits 5 years down the road.

No I wouldn't, otherwise you'd see me slamming Taylor Hall to AZ, who in 10 games has managed 1 goal in 5v5 play. The same poor pace he put up in NJ. But I haven't said a word yet. Because I know to wait till he's 25-30 games in to really look at it.

Well, at this point. You are wrong with Kovalchuk. We will see in 25 games if you are right. Doubt it though.

what was that. 7 games and 1 5v5 goal.
wow what a pace for a goal scorer.
I mean if he keeps that up he'll have what 11-12 on the year..... clearly an MVP season on the horizon.

Actually he has 2 5V5 goals. He's had more assists than goals 7 times in his career, but continue to call him just a goal scorer.

I can't believe nobody else wanted him at this price. Unless he thought Montreal was the best shot at a cup? Anyway, he's looking to be a great addition for the Habs.

because he looked bad on a ****ty LA team and was making over 5 million.

I'm just happy Bergevin signed him because now we are going to get a very good pick for him.

Kovy is a bargain at 5 times the price. He's still a 60 point player, he just didn't fit in on a rebuilding LAK team.

Still think this? 9 points in 10 games. +3, 19:47 TOI/Game. Time to admit you're wrong bud
