I wouldn't give Muzzin that much term. I think he's going to be offered a 3 year deal and if he wants to stay in TO and contend for a cup he's going to have weigh that over term on a worse team. Someone will likely offer him 5 years, or more but that would be terribly risky. Dubas is shrewed when it comes to term for older players, he just doesn't do it. Muzzin will be 31 in his first year of his next deal, never pay a defenceman past his 34th birthday, it will almost always come back to haunt you.

Leafs have Reilly dermott and sandin on LD so no need for Muzzin. They have Holl for 2nd pair with dermott. If y think liligren is ready (not sure but needs the chance) then all u need is top pair RD to play with reilly. Enter Pietroangelo at 8.5M x 5 yes. Muzzin-4m and Barrie -2.7m and ceci - 4.5 covers this and Holl's 1.3M raise....Voila!
