Given the circumstances in the trade, I can't imagine the Sergachev move happening like that. If Nashville makes that trade at the deadline, it'll be because they've moved back up and into the playoff picture. At that point, the early 20s first rounder that the pick would most likely be, there isn't a reason for Tampa to trade a guy who's been playing at a legitimate top pairing level for that pick straight up. There would certainly be better offers on the table for him.

I just don't see how Tampa can keep him. Not only afford him, but do they keep playing him on the 3rd pair? Put him on the 2nd and put McDonagh on the 3rd pair? Or put one of them on the left side? Maybe I'm just too out of the loop. I feel like he will have a better opportunity somewhere else

Something involving an established top RD. Maybe he’d be part of a doughty package or something

Tampa is in a similar situation to several teams. So many high paid guys. I think the kings are in a good spot to maybe land a high quality player cheaper then it would normally cost just because a lot of teams are gonna have cap issues. Also maybe they can acquire extra 1st rounders to eat some contracts on like a David backes or someone similar. I think they need to move on that this summer because I think the expansion draft may help some of these teams out. Vegas did a very good job making trades to take certain players. And Seattle will have to hit the cap floor so they have to take some well paid guys. Kings should pounce this summer.

I hope so. Blake better be a very busy guy this summer or the Kings owners should clean house. Sorry most people know how I feel about Blake
