Leafs don't need scoring lol And Liljegrin isn't going anywhere unless it's an offer Dubas can't refuse.

Yeah Martinez isn't really an upgrade over Ceci and the Leafs don't need forwards.

Perhaps not, Toffoli provides more than scoring though (possession metrics, PK, playoff exp., etc.) . I think this provides several solutions for a team that could go deep into the playoffs and cap-strapped issues for the following years. But I hear you, doesn't sound worth it losing Liljegren to the Leafs.

You are incredibly stupid it is almost sad and that couldn't be further from the truth. Try researching...

Leafs reject without even thinking. They aren't moving Liljegren in a deal that doesn't have a great young RHD coming back in the deal.

Sometimes if you are close, you need to go for it and see what happens vs losing out in the first round. The Leafs have to go for it this year since they will be in cap hell next year.

As a whole the group of players coming back don't move the needle all that much in terms of ensuring the Leafs get out of the first round. That also shouldn't be our goal, our goal should be the cup and that takes several years.

The Leafs are going for it this year, that doesn't mean they have to not go for it in years to come. Stop trading the future of our blueline.
