Look where they are at in the standings smart fella... All they need is a little push

Look at their record in the last 2 months and every advanced stat tracked in the NHL smart fella, they are in full free fall mode

I think if they were getting those pieces back, they could easily climb their way back into a playoff spot. Now's not the time for Edmonton to be patient. They need to start making some win now moves. If they can't make the playoffs with McDavid and Draisaitl, they never will.

Edmonton is the epitome of sacrificing picks and prospects type desperation right now IMO. They can't afford to be patient while the best player to play the game since Crosby and Ovechkin dwindles away.

The Nuge for Rakell trade is kind of pointless though but adding Miller to help solidify the defense and Toffoli to give another scoring option might be worth it.

I literally only read an article of someone suggesting the Oilers trading Huge for Rackell and made some interesting points on why. Also it suggested that they trade for a winger that can get a lot of shot on goal so I picked Toffoli. Take it with a grain of salt haha
