If the Hawks are out of it, you wouldn't even half to eat the cap. They have plenty of space available this year. Smith is exactly what you're saying, but I bet Stan would do the trade because of the cap problems they have next year. Shedding $3.25M for next year would help even if it hurts the PK.

That's a horrible trade for the Ducks. You paid us a first and an A prospect for Brandon Montour, and Adam Henrique is far more valuable than Montour, so a first and Thompson and Asplund is fair for him alone. Sobotka is two years older than Carter Rowney, costs almost 3 times as much, is currently injured and is not nearly as productive or as valuable as Rowney, not to mention not fitting in to Anaheim's plans to get younger and faster. Change the second to a 2020 first and then add a third (which you don't have) or two fourths (2020 and 2021) and this deal would be fair. I still don't think the Ducks would make it because Henrique is anticipated to be Anaheim's senior center while Ryan Getzlaf is aging out.

Hard pass. The first you got for montour was 29th. Ours will be around 8th oa. Our 2nd will be around 39th. Absolutely no interest in henrique for our 1st.

Absolutely no interest in trading Adam Henrique for less than a first-round pick and two additional elements.

I must have missed when Henrique became good. I wouldnt give a 2nd for Henrique, let along Asplund and Thompson.

Well, that's you. Fine.

Skinner: 11-8=19; -9; $9MM cap hit ($10MM actual cash this year).
Henrique: 12-9=21; 0; $5.825MM cap hit. Henrique would be the third-leading scorer on your team.

Skinner put up 40 goals last year. Henrique is a 40 point players. No way I want that aging center for 5 years

Additionally actual cash doesnt matter, unless your team has a cheap ass owner like anaheim or ottawa
