To answer your main AGM question, no he is not. Is he a top prospect? YES. Is he the Leafs' top prospect? Probably. Is he a sure bet top-pairing defender? Absolutely NOT. He definitely may get there, and defensemen do historically take longer to develop, but that's a slower burn Leaf fans are going to have to live with. Sandin in the NHL playing 20 minutes/game regularly next season is not realistic, at least not immediately. Hopefully, fans have patience with this kid. He's going to be good. How good? Well, that make still take a few (or more years) to figure out. I don't think Sandin will walk into the NHL next season Cale Makar or Quinn Hughes style. That's a little unrealistic.
