this conflicts with reports. Look at brooks last tweet.
"Shesterkin recall is not related to goaltending health issues. no word at this point, team practices at 11, but expect shesterkin to get the assignment tomorrow at MSG v colorado. They didn't bring him here to dance."

Wow. Hank is sick which is truth so I think that might be the most logical reason, but this Brooksie tweet gives it another dimension holy crap.

It seems likely that 2/4 of Kreider, Strome, DeAngelo and Buchnevich will be moved in the coming months. This, coupled with Fast leaving should allow enough room for Labanc.

that's what i thought initially too until I looked into it a bit since hanks sick.

either hank gave the okay to waive his NMC or georgie is getting traded. Unfortunately I'm rooting for it to be hank on the way out with up to 50% retained-- i just don't see a buyer for that still (San Jose doesn't have cap, the preds would be a complete surprise buyer).. the only teams I could see pulling the trigger would be Calgary or Carolina.

If it's Georgiev, i would say you could add Toronto, Edmonton, and San Jose to those two.

Simply keeping Igor happy. The golden treatment is now being handed over to the dynamic duo. Hank accepts trade to a contender or hangs around as backup for remainder of this season, before obvious buyout. Book it. Ridiculous to sell low on Alex and to ruin future tandem! The only way they do this is if they think Alex has plateaued, which again doesn't make sense considering he's a perfect 1b for Igor!!!

Why is everyone so eager to trade DeAngelo? He would seem to me to be a very vauable part of the Rangers' future.

He's going to need a new contract soon and will probably want something long term. Makes more sense to trade him while his value is pretty high as opposed to giving him a big deal and having him be a road block for the younglings.

Trouba and Fox are set to be staples on the right side for years and with the amount of talent the rangers have in the pipeline, one of them is bound to hit (especially with how good Lundkvist looks right now). Trading Tony for a piece that can fill a hole elsewhere makes sense, unless he proves he can be as effective on the other side.

Well thought out.
