NJ should say yes!

I'd trade Zaitsev + 2020 Dal 2nd for PK...

PK's contract fits better with the Sens horizon. In 3 years from now we'd have to pay Lafrenier (hopefully) and a few others and having Z's contract currently on the books blocks $5M in cap space

I guess that means you still feel that Gustavsson will develop to be better than Daccord?

Either way, I don't hate this deal even though Subban might be too big for the room, which worries me. The ONLY THING I do wonder is what we got in return for Pageau, DeMelo, Ennis, Namestnikov and Hainsey. Surely we didn't hang onto them past the deadline just to let them walk.

Id be ok with either a Pageau for Wilde type trade or Pageau for Bellows and a pick deal. Just as examples. Ennis and Namestnikov 3rd/4th, Hainsey 4th, Demelo 2nd

I love all of this, but I would sign DeMelo instead of taking the second. His underlying is so good. Sign him to 3 year and shift him to a contender at the end of his contract (He will be 29). All our prospects will be ready for their spots by then.
